Eligibility Criteria
Please review the eligibility criteria before submitting the application form to us.

The dog must be registered and approved by the committee before a claim for financial support can be made.

Dog must have served for two or more years.

Retired dogs that have had to retire due to ill health, before completing two or more years will be considered for registration based on an individual assessment by the committee.

Retired dogs who have been deemed unsuitable for operational service will not be eligible for support.

Retired police dogs used for private work after retirement will not be eligible for financial assistance, but may still be registered with Ninja's Trust.

Retired dogs who are covered by an insurance policy will not be eligible for financial assistance, unless the condition is pre-existing and excluded from claims. They may be registered with Ninja's Trust.

Registration with Ninja's Trust is free of charge. Registration of a Retired Police Dog provides automatic membership for their owner.

Membership of Police and ABF Dog handlers is free.

Membership to the general public is $10.
