Sponsorship Application

Please review the eligibility criteria before submitting the application form to us.

• The dog must be registered and approved by the committee before a claim for financial support can be made.

• Dog must have served for two or more years. 

• Retired dogs that have had to retire due to ill health, before completing two or more years will be considered for registration based on an individual assessment by the committee. 

• Retired dogs who have been deemed unsuitable for operational service will not be eligible for support. 

• Retired police dogs used for private work after retirement will not be eligible for financial assistance, but may still be registered with Ninja's Trust. 

• Retired dogs who are covered by an insurance policy will not be eligible for financial assistance, unless the condition is pre-existing and excluded from claims. They may be registered with Ninja's Trust. 

• Registration with Ninja's Trust is free of charge. Registration of a Retired Police Dog provides automatic membership for their owner. 

• Membership of Police and ABF Dog handlers is free. 

• Membership to the general public is $10.
